Land Prep

Yes! Finally after weeks of careful planning, watching millions of youtube tutorials, research and negotiations, we have finally planted on our first farm site. It was an exciting two weeks and I have a lot to tell.

First day, we added the pipes for the existing water line, we prepared the ground for the next day's planting, and started with the perimeter fence. The picture below shows them starting with the temporary fence. This was necessary because of the cows and goats roaming freely.

Another necessary step to prep the land was removing the weeds. Imagine you doing this at your backyard, then multiply it thrice.

More preparations were done like setting up the plant locations and digging holes in them. I'll post the step by step process later.

  1. it looks like you have a nice farm…i bet it’s breezy in your farm…are there other lots available? did you hire those locals to prepare your farm? How much did you pay them? i might know those local folks working in your farm :-)

i think i also know where your farm in Casay, if it’s along the way to Dalaguete Beach Park and Argao Beach Club.
