Checking out companies in the Philippines

If you are doing any business in the Philippines, you can check the companies out thru the Department of Trade and Industry website: https://www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph/web/guest/search

I tried asking the NBI if they can give me a clearance for a particular person. Basically, my goal was to check for the credibility of a potential investment partner. The sad news is that the NBI do not provide clearance information of other people other than yourself. You would probably need an authorization letter from that person if you want to check. The best thing I thought of is that whenever I would like to work with an investment partner that I would provide my clearance information and ask for an exchange. That way, it is not too one sided and people would be more willing to do it.

However, it’s all done with tongues planted firmly in cheeks, and everybody has got absolutely nothing but absolutely love for their friendly neighborhood scapegoat.
