More Upbeat For 2011 And 2012
We have become more optimistic about the Philippine economy in 2011 on the back of recent upgrades in our real GDP growth forecasts for the year for the US (from 2.0% to 2.8%) and China (from 7.5% to 8.3%). Accordingly, we now expect external demand to hold up relatively well in the coming months, supporting the export-oriented industries.
